Prevention of diseases of the circulatory system

As part of the implementation of the Program for the formation of healthy lifestyle skills and disease prevention "REACH HEALTHY NUMBERS!" On November 3, 2022, for civil servants from among the attached contingent, at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, employees of the Healthy Lifestyle Center, together with a neurologist from the 2nd PHC department, held an event dedicated to the World Stroke Day.

The relevance of this event is due to the fact that modern medicine rightfully calls the 21st century the “Era of circulatory system diseases” (BCD). Worldwide, CVDs are the "#1 killer", claiming more than 17 million lives annually.

Today, every 10th Kazakhstani of working age is affected by one of the CSDs, and every second death in our country occurs due to these diseases.

The important thing is that three quarters of all CVD deaths can be prevented with proper lifestyle changes!

During the event, neurologist Yrysty Sutbaeva presented to the attention of those present a presentation on the topic “Primary and secondary prevention of stroke. Migraine". She answered all questions from the audience.

Practical skills in physical activity for the prevention of vascular diseases were shared by Gulnar Sakanova, a methodologist at the Center for Healthy Lifestyles.

Gulnara Turdunova, a methodologist, spoke in detail about the most important risk factor for the development of CVD in her presentation “Nutrition as a controlled factor for CVD”.

All those present were given informational material in the form of booklets, memos: “What you need to know about stroke”, “Nutrition is a controllable factor of CVD”, “Facts about smoking”, “Sedentary lifestyle”, “What is important to know about salt intake”, etc. .
