Heart Center Leipzig

The city of Leipzig has a century-old tradition of university research and teaching in the field of medicine. Since September 1994, realizing its responsibility, this tradition has been carried on in full by the Heart Center Leipzig. This activity is based on a cooperation and use agreement concluded between the Heart Center Leipzig Ltd., the University of Leipzig and the Free State of Saxony. Since February 2014, the Leipzig Heart Center has been part of the HELIOS Clinic Group.

Helios is the largest network of 110 private clinics in Europe and Germany with a full range of high-quality medical services, which are used by more than 5 million German and foreign patients annually.

Since its foundation, the Leipzig Heart Center has been a leader in research and practice, from diagnosis to treatment of the most important diseases of the cardiovascular system, using the latest innovative methods.

The spectrum covers such areas of medicine as cardiac surgery, cardiology and arrhythmology, gastroenterology and oncology, general and visceral surgery, pulmonology and oncology, orthopedics, traumatology, angiology and vascular surgery, etc.

During its 25 years of existence, the Leipzig Heart Center has been able to achieve the highest international level in medicine.
