The Center for Gastroenterology and Hepatology (CGH) operates at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Center deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases of the digestive organs, including pathology of the liver and biliary tract.

All necessary clinical-laboratory and instrumental methods of examination for determining  clinical diagnosis are carried out at the hospital, using the most modern methods and technology. Patients are treated both on an outpatient basis and in daytime or 24-hour inpatient departments.

As part of a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, the CGH collaborates with all departments of the Hospital. In order to ensure the most effective treatment of patients, doctors of different specialties are involved, if necessary: dieticians, endocrinologists, cardiologists, dermatologists, hematologists, neurologists, psychotherapists, oncologists, surgeons, morphologists and geneticists, etc.

Patients can receive consultation or inpatient care according to republican budget (attached contingent) or on a paid basis.

Qualified medical staff of the Hospital provides quality and safe medical care.

Services of the Center:

  • Provision of highly qualified consultative and diagnostic outpatient care to the adult population of Kazakhstan and foreign citizens;
  • Provision of inpatient and substitute inpatient (daycare) care to adult patients on various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and hepatobiliary system;
  • Short-term comprehensive examination of patients under the Check Up program:

Check Up is conducted both in the conditions of an outpatient department and in a 24-hour inpatient department.

  5. Endo video capsule endoscopy;
  6. Endo video-ultrasound;
  7. Choledochoscopy;
  8. Endoscopic diagnosis in narrow spectral light to improve the quality of studies;
  9. Use of carbon dioxide in endoscopy for a comfortable procedure for patients;
  10. Resection and dissection of mucosal and submucosal gastrointestinal masses with morphological verification.

Endoscopic treatment services provided by the CGH:

  1. Endoscopic treatment of inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and bleeding;
  2. Extraction of foreign bodies from the gastrointestinal tract;
  3. Extraction of foreign bodies from the gastrointestinal tract;
  4. Photodynamic therapy for gastrointestinal cancer;
  5. Organo-plasma treatment of benign neoplasms of gastrointestinal mucosa;
  6. Balloon dilatation and bougery of the esophagus;
  7. Installation of stents in the gastrointestinal tract and biliary ducts;
  8. Removal of benign neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract;
  9. Ligation of esophageal veins in portal hypertension;
  10. Endoscopic installation of percutaneous gastrostomy.
