A meeting dedicated to Language Day was held at the PAA of the RK
The participants of the seminar-meeting held in the President’s Affairs Administration with the participation of specialists from subordinate organizations spoke about the intricacies of linguistics and the expansion of the scope of the state language application today.
The event was timed to coincide with the Languages Day and the birthday of Akhmet Baitursynov.
Opening the meeting, the head of the department for organizational, control and personnel work Erbol Adayev informed about the work that is being carried out in the structure of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan to expand the scope of the state language application.
“Constant communication has been established with the Language Policy Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, which exercises control in the field of language policy. Document flow in the state language is monitored, the results are annually sent to the authorized body. To implement the Concept of Language Policy Development, an action plan has been approved and is being implemented. Work aimed at raising the state language status is carried out on an ongoing basis,” Ye. Adayev emphasized. Director of the Institute for Linguistics named after A. Baitursynov, candidate of philological sciences Anar Fazylzhan, who was invited to the event, made a substantive report on the topic “Past, present and future of the Kazakh language”.
The philologist dwelt in detail on such issues as the nature of the Kazakh language, its history and stages of development. She gave interesting examples of the relationship between linguistics and cultural aspects of the Kazakhs’ life, and she also voiced examples of the mutual enrichment of the Turkic languages.
