Meeting with the staff of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan dedicated to the International Day against Arterial Hypertension

As part of the Program to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention “DO HEALTHY NUMBERS!” employees of the Center for Formation of Healthy Lifestyle held an event dedicated to the International Day against Arterial Hypertension on May 19, 2023 in the Ministry of Agriculture.

Goal of the event: to raise awareness and draw attention to the prevention and risk factors that contribute to the development of hypertension and its complications.

Gulnar Sakanova, Methodologist of the Center for Formation of Healthy Lifestyle made a speech on the topic “High blood pressure and cardiovascular risk. Preventive measures” for employees of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Sholpan Yeraliyeva, general practitioner of the department #2 of primary health care gave a talk and answered questions of attendees on the follow-up of patients with arterial hypertension.

Blood pressure measurement with interpretation of the measurement results was made for everyone.

At the end of the meeting, the attendees were given informational and educational material (handouts): “Nutrition - as a manageable factor of BCS”, “Facts about smoking”, “Sedentary lifestyle”, “What is important to know about salt intake”, “Stroke prevention”, “Uric acid”.
