Gynecologists-endoscopists of Kazakhstan performed demonstration surgeries

At the VII online congress «Modern aspects of endoscopic reproductive surgery», the leading gynecologists-endoscopists of Kazakhstan performed demonstrative surgeries from different cities of the country.

The Congress was held in a hybrid format (online and offline). The organizers were the Public Association of Gynecologists - endoscopists of Kazakhstan, Institute of Reproductive Medicine, KARL STORZ Endoscopy Kasachstan LLP. During the Congress, leading gynecologists of Kazakhstan made presentations and reports on operative gynecology.

Gulbaram Basharova, Candidate of Medical Science, obstetrician-gynecologist of the highest category, chief of the gynecology department of the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, performed the operation «Total laparoscopic hysterectomy» (with video broadcast) online.  The patient has cervical dysplasia (precancerous changes of the cervix) and multiple uterine myoma. Total hysterectomy was performed in order to prevent cervical cancer. The operation was successful.

It is worth noting that 40-45% of gynecological surgeries at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan are performed according to this diagnosis. These surgeries are also performed by robot-assisted method.
