About the Department

The Department performs all types of reconstructive surgeries on the arterial and venous systems. This is a very wide range of surgeries performed using both traditional open techniques and minimally invasive endovascular interventions.

Services of the Department

The main directions on the vascular surgery profile:

Diseases of brachiocephalic arteries (occlusions, stenoses, pathological tortuosities, aneurysms of carotid and subclavian arteries);
Diseases of the aorta, arteries of the upper and lower extremities, including critical ischemia in atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus (diabetic foot syndrome), obliterating thromboangitis (Buerger’s disease), systemic vasculitis;
Diseases of renal and splanchnic arteries (occlusions, stenoses, aneurysms, extravascular compression);
Aneurysms of descending thoracic aorta, abdominal aorta, arteries of upper and lower extremities;
Varicose veins of the lower extremities;
Thrombosis of deep and superficial limb veins;
Arteriovenous malformation.

Treatment methods of vascular diseases:

X-ray endovascular endoprosthesis of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Surgical treatment of cerebrovascular insufficiency due to atherosclerotic lesion or tortuosity of the carotid arteries (carotid endarterectomy, carotid artery redress grafting, carotid and subclavian artery stenting).
Reconstructive surgeries on the aorta (aneurysm resection, aortic prosthesis, aorto-femoral bypass, etc.);
Reconstructive surgeries on arteries of the upper and lower extremities (endarterectomy, profundoplasty, femoropopliteal bypass surgery, tibial bypass surgery, etc.);
