The Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has introduced a new technology for treating heart rhythm

On September 25, 2024, the MC Hospital of the PAA of the Republic of Kazakhstan was one of the first among the countries of Central Asia and the post-Soviet space to introduce a new technology for atrial fibrillation ablation - Pulsed Field Ablation. This technology is highly effective, safe and requires less time to regulate the heart rhythm. It is used for atrial fibrillation in patients.

The world-famous French cardiologist, professor and secretary of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) Serge Bove held a master class for the hospital doctors. Together with the chief arrhythmologist of the MC Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, professor Ayan Abdrakhmanov and other arrhythmologists of the hospital, he performed operations on 6 patients using new technologies. Patients who underwent surgery feel well.

During the minimally invasive procedure, a catheter passes through the patient's vein in the groin, goes to the heart and ablation is performed through electroporation. The procedure itself lasts about an hour, and recovery takes only 1-2 days. Since cardiovascular diseases are one of the leading causes of death in the world, the introduction of such technologies is of great importance. Doctors of the MC Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan will continue to use the new technology to treat patients. They will also continue to study the most advanced treatment methods in order to provide citizens with quality services.
