Doctors of the MC Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the IAEA conference in Vienna
Specialists of the MC Hospital of the PAA of the RK took part in the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the capital of Austria. It is worth noting that the delegation headed by the Minister of Energy took part in this conference for the first time in the history of Kazakhstan. During the event, the head of the Nuclear Medicine Center of the MC Hospital of the PAA of the RK, Doctor of Medical Sciences, chief freelance specialist in nuclear medicine of the Ministry of Health Aigul Saduakassova together with the Kazakhstan delegation presented the Hospital, spoke about the advanced experience and innovations of the Nuclear Medicine Center. Among the participants of the conference is the doctor of radioisotope diagnostics Maksat Zhaiymbayev.
The management of the International Atomic Energy Agency and its member countries highly appreciated the potential of nuclear medicine in Kazakhstan, especially the contribution of the Presidential Clinic to the development of this industry. The experts also thanked Aigul Saduakassova for consulting and supporting medical institutions and specialists associated with using nuclear methods in theranostics of various diseases.
Let us recall that the field of Hospital’s nuclear medicine began its development in 2015, and in 2022, its own building of the Nuclear Medicine Center was opened, equipped with the most modern equipment.
The Nuclear Medicine Center of the Hospital has formed international cooperation with other institutions and organizations around the world. Thanks to Aigul Saduakassova’s constant contact with colleagues from near and far abroad, clinical and scientific personnel of nuclear medicine are being jointly trained.
In 2023, the Nuclear Medicine Center received a grant from the International Atomic Energy Agency under the leadership of Aigul Saduakassova in order to implement the National Program for the Development of Nuclear Medicine and the Introduction of New Radiopharmaceuticals.
