CARDIAC SURGEONS OF THE MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL OF THE PRESIDENT’S AFFAIRS ADMINISTRATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN PERFORMED A UNIQUE MINIMAL ACCESS CORONARY ARTERY BYPASS GRAFT SURGERY

Training on the unique and innovative technique TCRAT (Total Coronary Revascularization via a left anterior thoracotomy) was held from December 19 to 23 at Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation Volodymyr Demianenko, MICS Babliak’s Academy cardiac surgeon from Dobrobut Hospital within the framework of partnership with foreign clinics.
Volodymyr Demianenko presented the features of the technique of minimal access coronary artery bypass graft surgery in conditions of artificial circulation using TCRAT technique, which allows performing this operation with minimally invasive access without incision of the thorax. That is, the heart is accessed through an incision in the intercostal space without damaging the thoracic bones.
Using a new method of surgical intervention, a team of specialists from the Medical Center Hospital under the direct mentoring of Volodymyr Demianenko operated patients with coronary heart disease and critical coronary artery lesions. All patients are now in the department, moving independently, and active.
Especially valuable is the fact that this technology now provides patients with minimal discomfort and a very quick return to active life as early as the next week after surgery.
TCRAT technology has been introduced in countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates. Now, it has been implemented at the Medical Center Hospital and will be used as the routine standard for cardiac bypass surgery in patients under the compulsory social health insurance and the guaranteed volume of free medical care.
The training was attended by leading cardiac surgeons of the Hospital, also doctors of National Research Cardiac Surgery Center JSC, Central Clinical Hospital of Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan JSC, City Multiprofile Hospital №2, Multiprofile Regional Hospital of Kokshetau and Kostanay Regional Hospital.
