APPOINTMENT OF THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL CENTER HOSPITAL OF THE PRESIDENT’S AFFAIRS ADMINISTRATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

Alexey Tsoy, Head of Medical Center of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented the Deputy Director for Surgery Mynzhylky Berdikhodzhayev to the staff of the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 19, 2022.

Mynzhylky Berdikhodzhayev is world-recognized specialist, excellent public health expert, neurosurgeon of the highest category and radiological surgeon.

Standing at the origins of domestic endovascular neurosurgery, Mynzhylky Berdikhodzhayev performed many operations for the first time in our country. For example, in 2013 he performed the first mechanical thrombectomy. He personally introduced new methods of endovascular treatment of aneurysm and arteriovenous malformation in the cerebral vessels in the country and many others.

To date, the qualified doctor developing the field of neurosurgery in our country has performed more than 6,500 high-tech operations on brain vessels. He regularly participates in foreign seminars and conferences, conducts joint operations, exchanging experience with his colleagues from different parts of the globe.

Mynzhylky Berdikhodzhayev in 1998-2004 studied at the Karaganda State Medical Academy, then completed an internship in neurosurgery. In 2006 he became a scholarship holder of the “Bolashak” presidential program and entered clinical residency at Military Medical Academy named after S.M. Kirov in St. Petersburg.

Then  he graduated from Kazakhstan’s Medical University “KSPH”, then PhD. In 2020 Mynzhylky Berdikhodzhayev entered “AlmaU” MBA Healthcare University.

He began his career as a neurosurgeon at the Republican Scientific Center for Neurosurgery. In 2014 he founded and headed the Interventional Surgery Department in Hospital No.7 of Almaty. In 2014 he began his career in the system of President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan as an interventional neuroradiologist in the Interventional Cardiology Department of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical Center of PAA RK. In 2016-2018 he worked as the head of the Neurosurgical Department, then as the head of the Neurosurgery Center of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Medical Center of PAA RK.

In 2021, he was acting chief physician of City Hospital No. 2, Shymkent. From 2020 to the present time, the head of the Public Association “Society of doctors of vascular and interventional neurosurgery and neurology Kazneuro”, from 2022 is the vice-president of the National Medical Association.

During the period of his work, he was awarded with the badges of the Medical Center of the PAA RK “For distinguished service”, the Ministry of Health of the RK “Excellent Worker of Public Health”, breastplates “Meirim” of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, “Golden doctor” and “For the selfless fight against COVID-19”.
