Emergency heart surgery at the Medical Center Hospital of a 75-year-old patient

A 75-year-old woman was urgently admitted to the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The patient was diagnosed with myocardial infarction and underwent aortocoronary bypass surgery. The operation was successful, and the patient’s condition is stable. Rustam Albayev, director of the Hospital performed the operation.  “The operating room is a different world. It has its own atmosphere, its own conversations and its own spirit. We do not work to end the day; we work to make the patient’s life better. We have 11 operating theatres working at the same time. Our job is to make sure that all scheduled surgeries are performed in the exact time allotted. You can compare us to a Swiss watch that you wind up and then it runs smoothly.

The surgical unit also works nonstop to save the lives of our patients and improve their health. In one of them, robotic surgery is performed, and in another one, operations are performed using a biplane angiographic complex system, which has no analogues in the country,” - Albayev says.
