AN UNUSUAL TREE MADE BY THE STAFF IS LOCATED IN THE RADIOISOTOPE DIAGNOSTICS DEPARTMENT OF THE NUCLEAR MEDICINE CENTER OF THE PRESIDENTIAL HOSPITAL

  28.06.2022

The “Tree of Life” is the name given to their creation by the doctors in the radioisotope diagnostics department. It appeared here about a year and a half ago and is a kind of indicator of patient satisfaction. Patients pin a leaf of a certain color to the tree, thereby evaluating the work of the department. The colors are chosen based on associations: red - did not like the treatment, yellow - satisfactory, green - good, and the pink one - the highest mark. The idea of such an unusual way to check the quality of services belongs to the staff of the department.

      - My husband helped me make the tree; he drew the sketch and cut it out himself. The whole department, doctors, nurses, chemists, etc. sewed the leaves and flowers. We wanted to make sure we were working properly and well,” said Aigul Saduakassava, head of the Nuclear Medicine Center at the Presidential Hospital. - For me as a supervisor, it’s a good opportunity to have an alternative source of information on how the patients feel in the department, and to control the diagnostic process itself. After all, we work mostly with cancer patients, so our tree is associated with life, hope, and faith. The belief that this disease can be defeated. In addition, I am happy when I see only green leaves and flowers “blooming” on our tree every day.
