Modern Approaches in Hematology: International Specialist Conducts Master Class at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan

From February 9 to 13, the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted a master class conducted by an international specialist, Vsevolod Gennadyevich Potapenko, Candidate of Medical Sciences and hematologist from Saint Petersburg.

As part of the program titled “Modern Aspects of Diagnostic Algorithms in Hematological Disorders for Practicing Physicians,” a total of 12 lectures were delivered, covering key and current topics in hematology. The program aimed to enhance physicians’ knowledge and facilitate the implementation of modern diagnostic and treatment approaches in everyday clinical practice.

Particular attention was given to the diagnosis of anemia, leukemia, lymphoproliferative and myeloproliferative disorders, the management of infectious complications associated with chemotherapy, and modern principles of patient monitoring and follow-up.

In addition to lectures, the program included clinical case reviews, interactive case discussions, and problem-solving sessions focused on complex diagnostic algorithms. This practical format enabled physicians to strengthen their knowledge and discuss real-world clinical scenarios.

Face-to-face patient consultations were also conducted in the Hospital’s inpatient and outpatient departments. Dr. Potapenko provided educational and methodological materials to the Hospital’s specialists to support their ongoing professional development.

Following the master class, the Hospital’s team expressed their sincere appreciation to Dr. Potapenko for his professionalism, the practical value of the training, and his valuable recommendations for advancing outpatient hematology services and research activities at the Center.
