A Republican Conference Dedicated to International Nurses Day Held at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On May 12, International Nurses Day is celebrated worldwide in honor of the birthday of Florence Nightingale (1820–1910), the founder of modern nursing.
In commemoration of this significant date, a republican conference was held at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the theme “Trends, Technologies, and Prospects in Nursing.”
The event brought together specialists from various regions of Kazakhstan as well as nurses from leading medical institutions of the city of Astana. In total, 226 healthcare professionals attended the conference.
During the conference, participants presented insightful reports on the development of the healthcare sector, modern technologies, and new approaches in nursing. Medical professionals shared their experiences, discussed pressing issues, and exchanged professional views.
It is worth noting that the conference was dedicated to the bright memory of Madina Zhanakhmetovna Sariyeva, a respected specialist who worked diligently for many years at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and devoted her life to nursing.
The event was broadcast live, with nearly 4,000 viewers joining the online stream.
As part of the conference, a contest was held to determine the best nurse at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The winners were:

- In the category “Best Nurse of the Outpatient Department” — Yevgeniy Lebold
- In the category “Best Nurse of the Therapeutic Unit” — Aizada Yedenova
The winners were awarded honorary certificates and valuable prizes.
