Center for Autoimmune Diseases of Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan: personalized approach to diagnosis and treatment of patients

Center for Autoimmune Diseases of Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan was organized in January 2023 on the basis of Internal Medicine Department # 5. The Center provides specialized care for patients with autoimmune rheumatologic and nephrological diseases. For this purpose, there are 14 rheumatologic and 6 nephrological beds. There are also 10 therapeutic beds.

The Center provides diagnostic and treatment care to patients with other rheumatologic diseases, degenerative joint diseases, renal pathology, including glomerular diseases, provides contrast studies to patients with reduced renal function using methods to prevent development of contrast-induced nephropathy, therapeutic patients, including those with comorbid conditions, using a wide range of modern laboratory and instrumental diagnostic methods. In addition to instrumental studies, doctors of the Center use such types of research as biopsy of kidney, subcutaneous adipose tissue, skin flap, colon mucosa in diagnosis.

Highly qualified physicians of several profiles: rheumatologists, nephrologists and general practitioners, who receive continuous education in the hospitals of Russia, Israel, Turkey, work at the Center.

In six month of work, the doctors of the Center had admitted 106 outpatients. 247 patients with rheumatological autoimmune and glomerular diseases were treated at in-patient facilities.

The peculiarity of work of Center for Autoimmune Diseases of Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a multidisciplinary, individual approach to the diagnosis and treatment of each patient.
