Terms of hospitalization

INFORMATION FOR PATIENT

For hospitalization to RSE Medical Centre Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan on REU (hereinafter the Hospital) under state order, citizens have to visit attending physician at their place of residence.

For hospitalization with the aim of receiving secondary health care (hereinafter the “SHC”) the physician shall register citizens via the Hospitalization Bureau Portal and issue a Hospitalization code with the indication of hospitalization date.

When referring for treatment involving the tertiary health care (hereinafter the “THC”), the registration shall be made by the Regional committee, which shall issue a Hospitalization code (quota) to citizens using the Hospitalization Bureau Portal.

At hospitalization to the Hospital, the patient must carry the following documents:

Identity document (identity card/passport/certificate of birth);

Referral for hospitalization with seal and signature of the chief executive of the referring medical organization;

Voucher for hospitalization with the Code of the Hospitalization Portal;

Detailed record from medical documents including results of laboratory and clinical examinations;

Original of referral of the Regional committee on tertiary health care, the Code of the Hospitalization Bureau Portal (for citizens being hospitalized for obtaining the THC).

INFORMATION FOR INPATIENTS

PATIENTS IDENTIFICATION RULES

 

1. When registering a new inpatient, the medical staff in the reception ward shall fix on a wristband on the patient’s arm, which contains the following data:

a) surname, name, patronymic (in full);

b) date, month and year of birth;

2. Identification of patient must be necessarily conducted before making any diagnostic and treatment manipulations (fulfillment of disposal, sampling of material for examination, transfusion of blood and its components, injection, puncture, dressing, surgery).

3. Make sure that before making any manipulation the medical staff conducts identification of patient by means of:

a) oral enquiry of patient’s full name and date of birth;

b) verification against the wristband data;

c) verification against the data from medical documents.

4. When making medical manipulations, receiving intramuscular/intravenous injections make sure that on each bottle or syringe for fluid administration there is a sticker with the following information:

a) surname, name, patronymic (in full);

b) date, month and year of birth;

с) date and time of preparation.

5. If you are allergic to the wristband material, you can ask the medical staff to replace your wristband with a badge. Please do not lose your identification wristband (badge) and have it always with you. In any circumstances, the medical staff shall demand the presence of identification wristband.

6. If the wristband is lost or damaged, a nurse of the Department shall as soon as possible order a duplicate from the reception ward.

During the period when the wristband is not available with the patient, his or her full name and date of birth shall be enquired orally and verified against the medical documents.

7. At discharge of a patient the nurse of the Department shall remove the wristband from the patient.
