Severance Hospital is one of the best medical facilities in the Republic of Korea. The Severance Hospital is among the top 3 in Korea.
The Yonsei University Health System consists of the following: Severance Hospital (including 5 Specialized Hospitals, International Healthcare Center, Severance Robotics Center, and MIS Center) and Dental Hospital in Sinchon, Seoul; Gangnam Severance Hospital in the South Seoul area (including 3 Specialized Hospitals) and 2 local hospitals in satellite cities near Seoul.
It has a bed capacity of about 2,500 and 9,827 employees, including 821 physicians. Each year more than 2.5 million patients are treated as outpatients and more than 840,000 are treated as inpatients.
The high level of service is supported by the Patients’ Bill of Rights (1993) and confirmed by international certifications (JCI).
The Hospital has successfully implemented and operates a joint "Check Up" department project similar to Severance Hospital.
