The heart is the most important organ in the human body: human life depends on its health. According to statistics, cardiovascular diseases are the most common in the world today. The cardiologists of the Presidential Hospital know how to save your heart and avoid severe consequences. In addition, we should all listen to their advice.

As a rule, heart disease develops slowly. Therefore, it is important to detect the beginning of the disease in time in order to have time to take the necessary measures. Timely visits to a cardiologist and primary care physician in most cases allow avoiding serious consequences.

As Aliya Dzholdasbekova, chief cardiologist of the Presidential Hodpital, M.D., cardiologist of the highest qualification category, says, the main task of cardiologists at the Hospital is timely diagnosis and revascularization of coronary vessels, without leading to acute myocardial infarction.

15 cardiologists, four of whom have the highest qualification category, 11 - specialists of the I category provide medical care to the population in the Presidential Hospital. Only in the first half of 2022, 579 people were treated here, 100 patients underwent coronary angiography, 11 of them had multi-vessel coronary disease and underwent surgical revascularization – CABG (coronary artery bypass grafting), and 40 patients underwent coronary stenting.

You should visit a cardiologist if you have the following symptoms. These are painful sensations in the heart area, heart rhythm disorders, the appearance of shortness of breath, frequent dizziness, increased sweating, unexplained weakness, rapid and excessive fatigue, rapid weight gain, sudden changes in blood pressure, rheumatoid manifestations, swelling of lower extremities, pregnancy planning.

To keep your heart and blood vessels healthy, Aliya Dzholdasbekova, the chief cardiologist, recommends following some simple tips.

“First of all, control your blood pressure. Don’t get addicted to fatty, sweet, salty, and spicy foods. Watch your weight, your cholesterol level (HDL-C), and your uric acid level. Keep moving more. The easiest way to improve your health is walking. 10,000 steps a day, such a load is a sufficient prevention of arterial hypertension, development of coronary collaterals, hypodynamia, smile more often - it will make you healthier!”.
