International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the memory of Professor Zhangali Khamzabayev

Nasrulla Shanazarov, Deputy Director for Strategic Development, Science and Education of Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in an international scientific conference dedicated to the memory of Professor Zhangali Khamzabayev, who had a great influence on the development of radiological services in our country.
The opening ceremony of the Academic Council Hall named after Academician Khamzabayev at the Astana Medical University took place also on this day. He is the founder of the radiological unit and the first radiologist in Kazakhstan.
The conference focused on innovative technologies used in radiology. Radiologists from Russia, Uzbekistan, Germany, and other countries attended the conference. Discussing current trends in the development of radiology in our country, the experts noted the importance of applying radiology in healthcare, in particular for lung diseases, heart pathology, and the treatment of oncological diseases. The scientists discussed the prospects for the development of nuclear medicine in Kazakhstan and the expansion of international cooperation.
