  06.10.2022

A master class with associated professor Osman Can Yontar from the University of Health Sciences, Samsun (Turkey) on radiofrequency ablation of heart rhythm disorder using a unique navigation electrophysiological system (EP) was held in October 5 at the Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the master class, the visiting professor together with Rinat Kamiyev and Shalkar Smagulov, arrhythmologists of the Medical Centre Hospital, successfully performed radiofrequency ablation operations on patients after previously performed radiofrequency ablation and arrhythmia relapse. Two patients were operated on, using “Columbus 3D EP Navigation System, Microport” navigation equipment. The uniqueness of this system is the combination of cardiac EP and navigation system in one device.
Now, the patients have been transferred to a specialized department. No signs of tachycardia have been detected on further inpatient examination. The patients are scheduled for discharge in the near future. A daily Holter monitoring was recommended after 3 months in order to monitor the operation.

The master class was conducted using the MicroPort EverPace Company’s Columbus navigation system, with the support of “Global Medical” LLP, which provided the necessary consumables at the time of the master class for nil consideration.
