Training "From competence to expert. The development of best practices in the field of nursing through the Finnish mentoring"

For the first time on the basis of Medical Center Hospital from 16 to 27 May 2016 will be training (mentoring) "From competent to expert. The development of best practices in the field of nursing through the Finnish coaching" with the participation of experts from the Lahti University of Applied Sciences (Lahti, Finland):

1. Ms. Jaana Mäkelä - nurse expert, Master of Medical Sciences, has long experience at managerial level as a nurse and teacher qualifications;

2. Ms. Tarja Salminen - nurse expert, Bachelor of Nursing and Master in Health Economics, which has long experience in the field of patient care in the operating room, the organization of the operating chamber and the flow of patients and materials.

The main purpose of mentoring is to develop the knowledge and skills of senior nurses, which can be directed to the development and management of the work process. Mentors help students to develop their critical thinking skills and to progress from a competent to expert levels. Tutors use methods that promote active learning and participation. In addition, effective constructive feedback and evaluation is an important method of mentors. During the mentoring will be organized lectures, seminars and workshops, based on international best practice.
