Personalized Genomic Diagnostics Laboratory
GENOMIC LABORATORY: WE READ DISEASES BY GENES AND PREDICT LIFE
WHAT IS A PERSONALIZED GENOMIC DIAGNOSTICS LABORATORY?The Genomic Laboratory of the Presidential Hospital studies diseases at the level of DNA and uses the most modern so-called “biochip” technology. Research is carried out on New Sequence Generation (NGS) equipment - a new generation of gene sequencing.
WHAT DISEASES CAN BE IDENTIFIED BY GENE RESEARCH?
Today, there are more than 900 different genetic tests. They allow to diagnose hereditary diseases (detection of mutations in the gene in Duchenne/Becker myodystrophy, glycenosis), nerve and muscle diseases, and detect a predisposition to diabetes, asthma, heart and vascular diseases. Genome sequencing helps to predict life for years ahead.
But, above all, genetic research is necessary for those whose relatives have suffered any types of cancer. Oncology is not inherited. However, the basis of all types of cancer is a mutation in the genes. Our genomic laboratory offers modern diagnostic methods that will determine the type of mutation and prescribe the correct treatment.
HOW TO PLAN HEALTHY GENERATION USING GENOME LAB TECHNOLOGIES?
The genomic laboratory of the Hospital, the first in Kazakhstan, has introduced a “biochip” technology for embryo research and has already begun to cooperate with Kazakhstan’s IVF clinics. Genetic research of the embryo helps to avoid congenital pathologies (down syndrome, Patau syndrome, Edwards syndrome) that occur in babies, increases the chances of pregnancy, reduces the number of unsuccessful IVF cycles and preserves the health of the woman (due to a decrease in the volume of hormones taken).
YOU ARE HEALTHY, BUT WANT TO KNOW AHEAD OF TIME? CREATE YOUR OWN GENETIC PASSPORT.
Genetic Passport is a document that contains a database of your DNA that reflects the unique genetic characteristics of each person. In our genomic laboratory, you can determine the predisposition to the development of common diseases (diabetes, cancer, heart and vascular diseases) and individual response to pharmacological drugs that are due to your genetic characteristics.
WHAT LIVES IN YOUR INTESTINE?
The proper functioning of the entire body depends on the vital activity of the microorganisms that inhabit it. Their total amount is called the microbiome and has many important functions - from improving digestion to developing immunity. Microbiome analysis can detect the presence of pathogenic microorganisms that contribute to chronic diseases and digestive disorders.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO CONTACT US?
