November 10, 2022, the representatives of SK-Pharmacy made a working visit to Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the centralization of the procurement of medical equipment.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on systemic measures taken to improve drug supply, discussed the issues of timely procurement and delivery, monitoring over the availability of medicines in warehouses and the balance in health care organizations. At the same time, the parties exchanged experience and spoke on important issues of medical equipment, efficiency of its use, training of specialists (medical and technical staff of health care organizations), improvement of service and repair.

Special attention at Medical Center Hospital of the President’s Affairs Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan is paid to comprehensive maintenance of medical equipment and continuous training of medical staff. This will significantly increase the volume and quality of medical services provided to the population and reduce the cost of their provision through the effective use of medical equipment by health care organizations.

Currently, we are working on issues of production localization with foreign and domestic manufacturers of medical equipment. As a result of this work, an appropriate list of equipment for localization in Kazakhstan will be formed, which will be worked out in detail with the medical and expert community, regional health departments and medical organizations.

At the end of the meeting, common approaches to improving the continuity of essential medicines and the procurement of necessary medical equipment, the introduction of new technologies, and improving the quality of care were discussed.
